“Window to the Soul” photo is by by Steve McCurry. Andrea Bocelli singing is gorgeous, and your words are lovely. Thank you.

If the most famous photograph in the world doesn’t make one see, what hope is there? ❤ ❤

That bottom photo is amazing Willow. I used to subscribe to National Geographic when I was younger and I clearly remember the day the issue came out with that photo on the cover. i opened it and saw that photo and was mesmerized. It blew me away like no other photo I had ever seen – those eyes. NG was taken aback by the public response to the photo and subsequently used it in presentations and as a sort of identifying or corporate symbol. There was an exposition in Washington once and they had a 3 story building drape made from that photo. It was breath taking. They recently found the young Afghani girl (who is grown now) whose photo it is and did an article on her life (it has been very sad)

    Terrific poem Willow.

I have always loved that photo too! As you say Paul it is mesmeric and has always haunted. I see such deep pain and hardship in those eyes such knowledge she reflects the whole world. the video is also specially to me as I feel all the people in the video are real not actors and all their eyes tell the story. My father taught me how important it is to look people in the eyes! Thanks for reading and commenting Paul. xxx
