IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: BUSY SOCIAL LIFE AND BLOGGING.

It’s Coffee time!

It is If we were having  Coffee  time  again how  are  you all  and  what  have  you been up  to this  week!

So  come in it is lovely  to see you all here again. The fires are lit  the cushions are plumped up and  we have  the coffee and tea on  the go  and the cakes and sweets are all set out.  We  have  tea  and coffee  from all over  the world not to mention all our cakes  and muffins  and  as Paul  calls  them sweets! Every single  one  is  calorie  free! Plus of course  we now have spirits  and liquors  to warm the coldest of  you.

If we were having  Coffee: I would ask  you what  has been going on in your world this week, has  anything  deeply affected  you, have  you need a sympathetic ear, a shoulder to cry  on or  just  needed someone  to make  you laugh! If  yes  feel free to talk it out  here  with us. We will all help if  we can.

If we were having Coffee: I would  remind  you  that  there  are lots of  other  coffee mornings  all shared  and organized  By  Diana  and  Gene’O  over at,Part time monster

If  we  were  having  coffee : I’d  tell you  that I have just  done  another ‘ 1000 voices for  compassion ‘ TanGental he  did  two posts  on Bullying ,

Coffee and Cakes

If we  were having Coffee: I would  offer  you another  cuppa  and perhaps  some cake?  Go  on  it is  all calorie  free!

It has been a very  busy  week this  week I have  been out  to lunch  with a  friend, to the  gym  four times, not  as  much fun as usual as  my  gym buddy   is  still away.

The  husband  has been out  two days  running  out  lunching  with  old  work  friends . It is  good  to see him  going out  as I hope it is  a sign  that  he is on the mend .

If we were having coffee: I tell you  that on Friday I got to see  the Newbie. His  other  Grandma  was babysitting  him  and  she invited  me round  to  see him. I was delighted  to accept. I was  a little upset  that he wanted  to cling  to his other Grandma  more  than me  but  then he sees  more of her  and so knows him better! Anyway I loved  seeing him even if I did not  get  many cuddles . It  is  his birthday  next month ! Yes  the Newbie  will be one year old. Where has that year gone. We have been invited  to a tea  party  and I have already  accepted on my and the husbands  behalf!

Do you know  he is crawling  at  the speed of light  and and is eager  to stand up. His other Grandma  has two cats  one  that  is  very  good with the Newbie  and one  that just  goes out! .. I can’t  say I blame  him I would not  want  my  tail pull and  my  face  poked!

If  we were having  Coffee: I would  ask you if  you are comfortable  and  could I  get you anything ? Today  we are  visiting  our  eldest sun ,  he lives near  the sea on the east coast. The  husband is  helping  him fix  his bath….. the husband  is fixing his bath!  We are going out  to eat  when  he finishes . The  weather  was lovely  when we left  home  but  as we neared  the coast  it  got dark  and dull and there was some  rain…. He  ho!

Solar Eclipse 2015

If  we were having  Coffee:  I’d  as if  you saw the solar  eclipse  this week, unfortunately  it was  so cloudy  were we live  we did not see a thing. It  did get  dark  but  it  didn’t  go as dark as night , disappointing really. Wales , Cornwall  and  the Isle  of Lewis  had  spectacular  views!

here are  some  good  views of  the event  here  are some  more.

Well as  I  am out  today  visiting  I had  better  wrap up  now  or  they will say I am unsociable !!

If  we were having Coffee:  I would  say lets  go and see  how  Paul  and his crowd  are doing . I am sure  that  they will have lots to tell us !

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE GUEST POST:Mar. 15/2015 AWESOME BLOGGERS

Thank You Awesome Bloggers

Paul your Barista
Paul your Barista

Welcome to Willow’s weekly coffee and tea garden. My name is Paul, I’ll be your barista today and I’m happy to be here once again. Please come in and make yourself comfortable. Willow has plumped the cushions and started a cozy fire so we can warm ourselves while we have a cuppa and chat. As usual, I’d be pleased to bring a pot of whatever beverage you prefer – we have a wide range of teas and coffees to satisfy our world-wide readership. Also available is a large selection of spirits for addition to your cuppa or in its place. We can relax while we discuss the affairs of the week both personal and/or worldwide. How has your week been?

I finally got caught up on my e-mails and blog reading this week – phew! A few days away and they pile up by the thousands – literally. Mark over at his  blog  has been doing a photography course and I really liked the coffee cup photo he did as an assignment. Personally I’m for the big one. You know in the few short months that I’ve been exposed to the blogoverse I’ve met some wonderful people and read some thoughtful and some funny posts. I really enjoy seeing what others are thinking and how they let us into their lives. It struck me this morning how I’ve come to enjoy and look forward to hearing from each of you.

So, I want to take the time to share a few of the more uplifting posts I’ve had the pleasure of reading lately – with pictures. Mama over at Mama Mick’s

mamamickterry

( http://mamamickterry.com/2015/03/20/duck-duck- cat/ ) did a post about her hectic week and included a great one minute video about herding cats

This video is about 1 minute and is hilarious.

One of my favorite pictures I got from Julie Christine’s blog  some time ago:

Cheer Up!

Cheer up!

Julie, who owns Fabulous Blogging, consults for a living, just got married last week and has written this week’s post about how her life has changed in so many positive ways. Sobering things up, Fish of Gold  she  lost her partner and lover last week when he passed away suddenly of a medical condition. Her post on how she is handling her grief is heart wrenching.

If you’re looking for a ludicrous view of life and lots of back and forth humorous quips the click on over to Gibber Jabberin  where Gibber takes questions from readers and asks her readers for the answer as they see it.

Then there is Doobster of Mindful Digressions  to get his personal stuff off his work laptop – not as easy a task as it sounds.

This is Not Doobster but is a comment left by Thumbup

Next up is Mark over at Exile on Pain Street  who just had an operation for skin cancer. He’s headed down to Atlantic City to celebrate a

successful operation – and for some R and R.

For humor one can always find a chuckle at Ned’s Blog . As a writer, syndicated humor columnist and reporter for a the Siuslaw News in Oregon, USA, Ned recently visited the Local High School to show them his expertise in the long jump.

Ned’s Canadian counterpart Ross Murray is a writer, newspaper man, broadcaster, thespian, and humor blogger and blogs at “Drinking Tips for Teens”. Ross recently got

lost with his wife while hiking close to town ( https://rossmurray1.wordpress.com/2015/

today she deals with a patient who is stealing the suckers kept for kids.

I get my daily morning cheer from Beth’s blog – I Didn’t Have My Glasses On – http://ididnthavemyglasseson.com/2015/03/21/happy-national-common-courtesy-day/

where she dispenses tidbits of wisdom, humor and heartfelt commentary. Today she is celebrating National Common Courtesy Day.

My Australian connection is Suz at “It Goes On”  where her last post described her busy week down under. She does some amazing photography and posts about life, travel, her garden and

A Fine Looking Crew

And  of  course Cordelia’s Mum who often also kindly hosts my guest posts. These are but a few of the regulars that I check out – folks who share their lives that make up my on-line network.. There are far too many to mention but for sure I have to include Willow, who so graciously edits and hosts my weekly ramblings. Also are: Aussa at Aussa Lorens  ; Lynn at Life after 50 ; Christy at Running on Sober ,Elyse at Fifty Four and a Half ; Robyn at Blog Woman!!! ; Insanitybytes at See, There’s This Thing called Biology …; Don at Don of All Trades  ; Dobetteralways ; Phil at Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge ) ; Trent at Trent Lewin ; El Guapo at Alphabet Soup  ; Linda at

LindaGHill  ; Anawnimiss over at Anawnimiss  ; Barry from Another Spectrum in New Zealand  . My apologies to any that I may have missed.

On that note, that’s about all we have room for this week, so it’s time to settle in with another cuppa and watch the fire. Sweets anyone? Please join me in thanking Willow for her invitation to tea. We are all honored that you dropped by today to visit. I hope you’ve enjoyed yourself and the conversation and please look around at Willow’s other posts while you’re here. Willow is over there serving her guests and chatting it up. Let’s go see how she is today. Have a great week. We look forward to seeing you back here for sweets and beverages of your choice again next week.
