The Other Woman

Waiting in Vain

Why does  she  wait, the night is  passing her by

The  smoke  from her  cigarette  teases a tear from her eye.

Her glass is as empty  as her heart

This  man is  mean  he has ripped  her soul apart.

The  clock is  ticking,  she needs to go

Leave  now  forget him  her  brain is  telling her so.

He will be  with his  wife  and the new baby

For all his promises to her  he  will never  be  free.

Get  up  girl  you are  brave and  strong

You have a home  and job  you stand on your  own.

You  are  worth  more  than  being  the erotic  escape

Get him out of  your  life, you have so many  choices  to make.

Yes  she  may  have  him  and  the baby  too

But  that is  her  only  hold on him and  you know it’s  true.

After  you  go  he will find  younger  and knew

There  are  plenty out  there  who  can do  what  you do,

Don’t  be jealous  of his  little  wife and her  busy days

She  would  better  be pitied for  she knows

All about  you  and  where her husband  goes

For  sex, that’s  all you are  to him, what ever  he says .

walking away

When  he is  finished  with  you  there will be someone new

So start living for yourself, he will never leave  her  for you .

You have a home  and job  you stand on your  own.

Pity the wife doing  her  best, with children tied  to the home.

Pity  her  for his  fidelity she’ll never  own.

One Liner Wednesday

‘If  you are  going  through Hell, keep going’

This  is part  of  the  ‘One Liner Wednesday

***********************************************************

Anyone who would like to try it out, feel free to use the “One-Liner Wednesday” title in your post, and if you do, you can ping back here to help your blog get more exposure. To execute a ping back, just copy the URL in the address bar on Linda’s page  at    http://lindaghill.com/2015/03/11/one-liner-wednesday-just-call-him-willy/       and paste it somewhere in the body of your post. Your link will show up in the comments . Please ensure that the One-Liner Wednesday you’re pinging back to is this week’s! Otherwise, no one will likely see it but Linda.

As with Stream of Consciousness Saturday (SoCS), if you see a ping back from someone else in Linda’s comment section, click and have a read. It’s bound to be short and sweet.

Unlike SoCS, this is not a prompt so there’s no need to stick to the same “theme.”

The rules that Linda  made for herself (but dosen’t always follow) for “One-Liner Wednesday” are:

1. Make it one sentence.

2. Make it either funny or inspirational.

Have fun!
