Just Jot it January: Foggy Haikus

My big sister told  me  to lighten up  so  here I am trying!

January Haiku

Damp, dull and  foggy Twilight

Short steps,long steps join,

Head home cozy for the night .

Cold fingers, cold toes, red nose

Mist  as  you breath out

Keep moving keep warm, eyes close.

Cool poem Willow (pun intended) I love coming in out of the fog. Here where I live now, we seldom see fog – maybe once a year. But I was brought up in Halifax on the east coast, and fog was a part of every week. It is eerie walking in the fog – things come out of the fog at you and are hard to recognize. Your imagination runs overtime trying to fit images to what you see. And it is so, so quiet, even in a big city,, the sound of a car disappears only a few feet away. when I was trucking we used to hide in teh fog. Whenever we had a load that was oversized or overweight and we didn’t have time to wait for or run with permits, we’d run it overnight in the fog when the cops couldn’t see very well or very long. 😀
