Stolen.

Locked , rooted to the spot

I was entrapped cold yet blood hot.

Roots  from the soil wound up my thighs

My birds escaped me and took off to the skies.

The words flew about the pages

As important as the words of sages.

I could not  move I was lost

They told me open the pages at your cost.

Curiosity I could not contain

I was captivated I felt no pain.

All at once I was lifted  into the sky

Up into the grey where my  birds did fly

Wind in my hair  no fear I was no more I could not die.

Then down , down in to the tomb

Lost forever , seen no more gone,no home.

I am not sure how to explain it since your poem has such a wide range of emotion in it but I find your poem magical! I will enjoy reading it over and over.

    Hello, luv… season’s greetings… I see you’ve got the snowfall, too… I like it.

I’ve been NOT getting about lately, but, I see you drop in almost every day, & want to say I appreciate it; not only is it nice to see a regular reader, but, it lets me know you’re still in a space to have the time come by, & thus, okay…

    Great poem… I’ll be back when I can… take care, & Blessed Be, milady…
