IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE : 19/10/14 Good times

Well hello everyone  how are you all today, come on in we are  still using  the marquee but I think  we will all have to go inside  soon as  the weather  will not  last  much longer! We have the coffee and the cakes all ready the heaters are on and the Marquee is all warmed up. The sofas and armchairs all have their cushions all plumped up! So go on spoil yourselves we have stocked up on hot chocolate now and brought in some good books for you to read too! I can hear Paul has all his guest here many of whom you will know so lets see, what have you been up to this week.

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE : Exciting  news! Paul  our dashing  guest author has exciting news!  He has been asked to write a few guest posts for other blogs and he has  accepted. The  one I  need to mention  is Mark Bialczak a great blog  and now this Sunday  our gallant Paul  will be branching out!  It is  very  exciting  isn’t  it!

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE:  I’d tell you how  concerned I have been about  the Ebola . Tell  me why a huge  and self-assured  country  like America  can  make so many  mistakes over  Ebola protection  procedure! A nurse  who had looked after a patient  with a Ebola. Somehow  did not  follow  the correct  procedures and somehow  manages  to come into contact with the virus: She  becomes ill. Another  person  who was involved with the Ebola  patient’s  treatment is allow to take  an internal  flight even though they were already  displaying  signs of fever read more.  It looks  to me  that  things  need to  be taken  more seriously  and safety  procedures  need to be tightened up!

Hats off to William Pooley  the English Nurse  who has managed to recover  from Ebola  and is now  showing such bravery  and is returning to the thick of the  outbreak. Read about him here. We are  all very proud  of  our British Medical  Core  who have already  sent out  100, nurses, doctors  and consultants to join those already out in Sierria Leone read about it here.  IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: I would  say please  let  us all pray  that  we can beat this  virus before things  get any  worse.

Okay that is  the hard  hitting  part I felt it had  to be addressed  and now I have  addressed it , please tell what  your  thoughts  are on Ebola.

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: I’d  have to say I have not had  the best of weeks health wise, I have been on the back foot all week! I even missed a morning at  the gym  Wednesday  and I found it a real struggle  to get through the day!  But  I have to say I am not one to give in too easily  and I managed  to keep going  and here I am having survived another  week!

Now  how are  your cups does  anyone  need a top up , or  some of this lovely  carrot  cake, or  the coffee and walnut cake!! OR!! we could  have  an Irish , Caribbean  or  a Russian Coffee OR we could have a hot chocolate   and Brandy!!…………. YUM YUM!

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: ( EVEN BOOZY COFFEE) I have to tell you that  we went out  for a fabulous evening  with friends Friday night. We had  an excellent meal, in their beautiful home  great  food  and such fantastic  company! We had lots of  laughs and  fun! We stayed late too  and so it was very  hard to get up  Saturday  morning  and go to core class. But I did!

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: I would  tell you that I have to admit  I have not  a great  deal to report  this week, it  has  been a slow  but steady  week! I can however  report  that  my sister  who went into hospital   has had  her operation   and is slowly on the mend  , and  my other  sisters  and brother  seem  to fairing  slightly  better than last  week ! Okay  anyone  fancy  a top  up! Time  for some photos!

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: I would ask you if you would  like another  cuppa, or  another cake . !   If we were having Coffee  Original idea  from  http://parttimemonster.wordpress.com/

Please  don’t  forget  to pop over  to   Mark Bialczak’s site to see his  and Paul’s posts!

My flowers of the week!!

Hi Willow! Well Ebola is definitely the bad news for the week. On the personal side, I hope you are feeling better this coming week. You are in my thoughts. I’m glad your sister is on the mend. Your photos are great Willow. Thank you for this post.

If we were having coffee i´d tell you that finally the sun is shining around here – it’s been quite a rainy month so far! Breakfast was quite simple – a butter toast – double coffee. Moreover – I really fear about the way Ebola virus is being faced – I get the idea that there’s no serious plan to stop it. It’s an epidemics! I fear the worst… (I could use some of those sweets!) 🙂

Hi Jazzoutoo, your very welcome here , would you like a warm cinnamon and sultana swirl, very nice with tea or coffee?
Ebola yes it is a worry it has been around for nearly 40yrs and not much seems to have been done about it! I fear that is because it has mainly affected the African continent, out of sight out of mind. I think had it it of hit the Europe or the US more would of been done about it and quicker.
Lets just hope we can all pull together now and sort a cure or a vaccine or even better both! before it is too late. Lets hope we learn from this and never leave out of sight out mind to itself so it can rear up and bite us on the bum again!
Do come visit as often as you like .. everything here is guilt and calorie free!! xx have a good week

I think they create these diseases to release vaccines. I also think it’s horrid. I think they are monsters and I hope they change their minds. 😦

I’m glad your sister is on the mend! I hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂 ♡

Thank you Lisa I shall tell my sister how much you have all been rooting for her!
I sadly do think even the cleverest and most evil scientist could possible come up with Ebola. I have a sneaking they may of dabbled to make money in the past but not Ebola that is just so dangerous .. mother nature cooked than one up to cull the humans! I hope and pray we can defend ourselves!!
