Rain like stair rods fall.
Drenching, soaking , flooding all.
Cleansing all the pain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pitta Patta comes the rain
Banishes dust ,gone
Waking seeds to life again.
Jump for joy, splash, wet, your legs
Storm clouds gather over head
Smash,smash all your eggs.
Very nice. I’ve always loved the rain Willow. When I drove tractor-trailer, it had sleeper berth. The roof was fibreglass and when I would go to sleep, hearing the rain on the roof was so peaceful. It was like my own personal cocoon while the world got a shower. All the trees and plants soaking up their life force while I remained dry and cozy. I like to walk in the rain too – so cleansing. Thanks for the Haiku – well done Willow.
Yes the rain on a roof can be so soothing especially at night. I also like a walk in the and woow the beautiful smell of freshness when everything is fresh and clean. Thank you for your kind words Paul. xxx
Hi Willow! I’m just looking at your time stamp and it says 4:20 am. It is only 4:20 in the middle of the Atlanttic. Maybe your computer has not done the last time change – which would put you some where in western Africa or England. Just curious
I am in England. But the time is 6. 55am . where are you roughly speaking..
Ottawa, Canada. It’s a little after 2 am here. If you check the time stamp on your comment on this post, you’ll see a time stamp 2 hrs earlier. Must be where the server is. Good Morning!
Hi and good morning to you too Sir. It is raining here soft summer rain after a week of hot dry sun (well hot for us.) I just fed the birds and the garden smelt so fresh and sweet. X
I love the sound of the rain’s pitter patter not the vicious kind. I live in the lower level of this house and don’t get to hear the hear the rain much anymore. I like your trio of Haikus. Each one unlike the next, each setting a different tone. 🙂
Thank you so much, I am always fascinated by rain. I love light summer rain, and lashing winter deluges too! 😉
The hard kind puts me in mind of destruction, what with all the high winds and goings on.
