Goodbye Sunshine 2

I don’t know what happened to my post Goodbye Sunshine all that got published was the title?
So here goes again.

We took one last walk in the evening sun.
Roaming slowly through golden fields nearly over, our holiday fun.
The sun relaxed though strong in the Tuscan sky
Smiled on us as we said goodbye.

The table’s laid for our last meal this year.
Tomorrow evening someone else will be sitting here.
Happy laughter from the kitchen and aromas waft our way.
Sadly we must pack we have just one more day.

The sun now setting in the Tuscan sky.
This time tomorrow, up there we will fly.
Oh! I don’t want to leave this lovely darling place.
Where else in the world does a wall wear a smiley face.

I’m so glad you reposted. I did try to look at the earlier post. 🙂
I am so glad you had this respite from the everyday world. I hope it has restored you and gives you a new perspective on your life. You are wonderful the way you are, and you don’t have to be anything or anyone other way–not for anyone. 🙂
Enjoy your final day away. 🙂

Ah such melancholy. Great post Willow – I know the feeling and you expressed it perfectly. The pics are wonderful as well. They really match the words. Remember, we’ll all be waiting for you when you get home – the internet travels so much faster than jets. Thanks for your posts while on vacation – above and beyond the call of blogging duty. And so inspirational to read and see the country through your eyes.
Safe trip home and we’ll see you there.
Oh, I thought “Goodbye Sunshine 1″ was a minimalist experiment in blogging- I even commented. Ha!

Hi Paul I saw your comment but I was unable to reply to it. I love the idea of ‘ minimalist experimental blogging’ don’t think it is for me but love the idea.
I take it I got my love for Tuscany across. Well all things, good and bad come to an end.
So we go home tonight. Our house will be crowded with you and everyone else from wordpress waiting for us. 🙂 Thanks for your great comments. Xxx xxx

I assumed it was a post post post modernist piece of surrealist Dadaism, or something… much better, though, this time

That’s sounds as if I am boasting! I did not mean I surprise myself with my poetry . it was a tongue in cheek reply to your post post modern quote!
Mind you I am often pleased and surprised when people like my posts.
        Have s good weekend.
Home now knee deep in washing and….. It is raining. 😉 xxx

Safe travel. All good things must come to an end. Sigh.
I feel your angst in the poem. Lovely.

Yes I have never felt as I feel about this haven in Tuscany ever before. It is good to get home to see our family and the newbie ( our first grandchild)… I won’t mention the washing and the ironing and the rain.. 😉 😀 xxx

For some reason I want to take a vacation right now. Normally I’m content to stay close to home after traveling so much for work. I loved both living in Italy and then returning numerous times for short periods of time. Tom isn’t well enough to travel so I’ll remain happy for the days he feels well enough to get out of bed. I love your photos.
