IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE I WOULD TELL YOU.

I am so tired  that  it hurts and I wish I was  still in Tuscany. It  did  not take  me  long  to slip  back  into the norm. Washing, ironing the  every day things that eat into our  souls. Tell me  do  you feel that  worn down so quickly?

The  flight  home on Friday night was okay  but it was late, the approach  to Gatwick was incredibly painful I thought  m ears would  burst. I wanted  to scream out  but pride kept  my  mouth tight shut. I watched  the lights  of the south coast appear. I thought  my head  would split then I saw  Brighton  and it’s pier all lit up  like fairy land . I knew  then relief was  not too far away.

I am amazed at how  the Newbie  has  grown he is so beautiful, he has  found  his smile button! I am longing to see him  and hold him.

That I  cannot believe how  different  my  life here is to how it was on holiday … do  you think  life would be as relaxed, as it felt when I was on holiday, if I lived there all the time. I saw the lives of our  hosts the ease with which they  moved through their days … why do their  lives look so uncomplicated?

I went to the gym this  morning  and I worked out  for over  an hour then I went home  and after coffee I ironed  for nearly  three hours. In fact  I only stopped  because my  foot balled up  with cramp  and became a claw. I was in agony  for three quarters  of an hour  and I had  to call  my  husband in from gardening  to help me . He massaged  my  foot  for ten  minutes all to no avail. In the end  he bought up a bowl of warm water  and I just tried  to relax  my  foot. By then my foot no longer resembled a foot, my toes were all scrunched up and  my big  toe was stuck out  at an odd angle it looked like a weird claw.  Pain?  it was awful.

I have  often felt so trapped  just like  the woman in this video, in fact I even looked like a scared  rabbit , like her too!

This was my second, If  we were having  coffee,  the first  one  is here  I am linking  to Deborah who alerted  me to this lovely way  to converse  with each other.  Now Deborah got the idea  from  Diana at Part time  Monster.  What about you? If we were having coffee, what you be talking about this week? Post in the comments below or do your own post and link back here.  🙂

Coffee Break  (Acrostic Poem)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caffeine needed now
Open wound pow!
Feelings raw  and strong
Faith and understanding gone.
Echoes of my  youth
Etched in blood the truth.
Broken and cracked
Ruined for care, a lack
Ever thirsting to be free
Aiding lack luster eyes to see
Kindred spirits reaching out to me.
Broken Swan
The urge to fly free was always there
Escape  the planet fair and square.
Above the day’s bump and grind
Forget the pain, unwind.
Slash  the tethers tight
All hope set flight.
Your soul’s blood
In mud
Ground.
Goodbye Sunshine 2
I don’t know what happened to my post Goodbye Sunshine all that got published was the title?
So here goes again.
         ~~~~~~~~~~~

image

We took one last walk in the evening sun.
Roaming slowly through golden fields nearly over, our holiday fun.
The sun relaxed though strong in the Tuscan sky
Smiled on us as we said goodbye.

image

The table’s laid for our last meal this year.
Tomorrow evening someone else will be sitting here.
Happy laughter from the kitchen and aromas waft our way.
Sadly we must pack we have just one more day.

image

The sun now setting in the Tuscan sky.
This time tomorrow, up there we will fly.
Oh! I don’t want to leave this lovely darling place.
Where else in the world does a wall wear a smiley face.

Sunflower Door

image

There is a door in the wall
If I step through it will I fall?
What is on the other side
My curiosity I cannot hide.

In this tall walled alley steeped with history.
I feel the souls from hundreds of years,they speak to me.

image

Thousands of feet have passed this way.
Births,deaths,those who betray.
Intrigue and bloody murder.
A woman shamed who attacked her.

Yet in the here and now I stand.
Looking at this sunflower door and
Wonder what is on the other side?
I long to step forward and throw it wide.

image

It would of been a step into infinity.
The door hide a fearful drop indeed the end of me.
Yet I am here to tell the tale
Fate’s test I passed, happily I did not fail.

Daisy Chain.

I read Audrey’s Post today ‘Field Daisy’ and it has inspired me to write about what her words said to me so thank you Audrey.
          ****************
Life is like a  child’s Daisy chain
What ever happens will come around again.
Like the tiny white flower you start put full of hope.
Then sadly as you age you wither and fail to cope

image

When you are young and bold
Just like the Daisy your heart is gold.
Such a shame we have to wither and die.
When I was a child my dead chain would make me cry.

I’m older now and I have learned
Some things are better left alone and spurned.
The lovely Daisy left to grow
Like our loves and lives will flourish so.

image

Life is not an easy path to tread
Yet we must do so, we cannot hide in dread.
But a lesson early learned
Flowers like us are better left Unpicked yes even spurned.

Our frail hearts can only take so much
Of cruel digs and unkind cuts. So carry your heart and your loved ones gently.
And always let the Daisies grow free

If We Are Having Coffee

Well Deborah this is peaceful sitting here under the pergola with our coffee (well unusually it is but today it is tea. )

image

How strange I have to come here to Tuscany to relax enough to drop the poetry and talk.
Hey Bear come and join us too do you take milk … one lump or two. (quick slap on the wrist no hiding behind verse.) Right where shall we start. We have all joined the Grandma club, me being the newest member.
Do you know I was delighted to find out that the wonderful owner of this little heaven’s equally wonderful niece is expecting her first baby, she had only just got married on our first visit here just a month after our youngest son’s wedding.  3yrs ago
Yes that is a coincidence, you both know about being grandmas so I best not try to teach you to suck eggs!

It is so hard to explain how relaxed and happy this place makes me feel it is beyond compare. I am not the stressed worried woman trying to be all things to all people that I am at home.

image

How about you two where do you like to holiday, is it the place or the people or a combination of both that makes a holiday special for you.
Do you know I would love for us all to meet up for coffee everyone I have learned to know here on wordpress. … Dreams.
Now Deborah at  http://myriad234.wordpress.com/
gave me this idea and I think it is a wonderful idea you can all join in and enjoy a coffee or tea break, anywhere any place anytime. So how about it .

Happy Days

What to do what to say
Could my cares of blown away.
The sun is happy in the sky of azure blue
It is warming all we see and do.

image

The birds are singing the lizards run
We are having breakfast in the sun.

Voices chatting accent’s new
All discussing where and what to do.

image

Cappuccino, espresso even tea
And of course (brown water) americano for me.

Charming hosts fabulous food
Such beautiful room and furniture nothing brash or crude.

image

So relaxed and happy too
It all seems too good to be true .
I wish I could take it home
Never a again to feel sad or alone.
HAPPY DAYS. !

Coffee for two

image

Coffee for two, cappuccino and an Americano.
No we will sit here we don’t want it to go.
We are on holiday so we can take it slow.
Such a lovely little town people settled in their ways.

image

This is the place they love and where they will be until they end their days.
Now we have finished and we move on
This little town will carry on as it has always been now we are gone.
