Waiting for the Newbie

Slurp, slurp, swish, swish

Baby’s heart beat in a wish wish.

Clever machine you can hear

The unborn baby’s heart beat as birth draws near.

Blissfully unaware so comfy sleeping there

Precious cargo no world riches can compare

To the joys you will bring, all  lives you will touch

To your mum and dad you will mean so much.

Slurp, slurp, swish, swish

Baby’s heart beat in a wish wish.

Clever machine you can hear

The unborn baby’s heart beat as birth draws near.

Not long now your due date draws near

You’ll see the faces of the voices you constantly hear.

Loving hands will cradle you and fingers trace your form

These are the hands  that will guide you from the second you are born.

Come  when you are ready come at your own pace

Everything and everyone is ready and longing to see your face.

Gently sleeping as you do safe within the womb

We all pray for you  and look forward to see you soon.

Slurp, slurp, swish, swish

Baby’s heart beat in a wish wish.

Clever machine you can hear

The unborn baby’s heart beat as birth draws near.

Like Deborah, I smiled through this, remembering when my son was inside me. I always thought it was so “alien” to have another human being there. I never truly got over how “odd” it was.

Yes I can empathize with that feeling too. I even found it quite alien after he was born too this tiny person who was dependent on me 24/7 it was terrifying. 😉 This child is to he our first grandson by our youngest son and his wife and of is a whole new experience.
Thank you for reading and sharing your memories. It goes to show we were not alone in our feelings. 🙂 xx

An eagerly awaited new life, Sweet Willow, so filled with wonder at this miracle of birth, and so many wonder-filled years ahead, (I tried to post this comment last night on my new Notepad, but I’ve still to gain mastership over the controls 😦 ) hugs aplenty xPenx

This is so endearing. My little heart pumps thump thump. Congratulations! 😀
I have two grandchildren who changed my life but in a different way from when my daughter was born. Freer and more relaxed.
