SUNDAY’S PIGEONS AND BABIES

Hello again do you remember my recent post on  my  brush  with Nature. The nasty incident when a Sparrow Hawk attacked  a poor unsuspecting pigeon in our garden.  Well it was a horrendous  scene straight out of a horror  movie , blood gore and feathers everywhere!

To cut a long story short  the pigeon was saved and eventually whisked off to a Bird Sanctuary by my almost Buddhist, animal loving  husband . Yesterday  he rang  up to see how our brave pigeon  was getting on. Now I say  brave  because  lets face it, attacked  by the Sparrow Hawk, rescued  and left in a dark box  for a couple of hours, taken for a  car ride, treated  by sanctuary staff, visit to the vets . Let  us face it he deserves  to live!

Happily  the prognosis  is  good , he has been to the vets  and has a very nasty neck wound. All the blood  that I had seen covering the left side of his face  was from the neck wound  and his little face was unscathed !  He is , not surprisingly feeling very sorry  for himself  but things  are looking good for him. So it is fingers and wings crossed!  I am still rooting for the boy!

Having  plenty to say and their happiness they could not hide.

Their nest almost  complete everything for baby is done.

Classes  they have attended they found them really fun.

Time is ticking away

Soon he will be here to stay.

Their love will be complete

When they can tickle tiny feet.
