FanFoFeb: CRAMP!

ARGH! God no! It has  me by the foot it is crushing the bones of my feet

It is doing it both feet at once , this is anything but sweet.

My legs are twisting up and knotting the blood inside me is clotting.

My head is thumping like a hammer, and the sweat from me is dropping.

Every nerve  of mine starts to clammer , muscles jangling I start to stammer!

Now  my toes are turning turning upwards and  my fingers are all gnarled

My body is all cramped up , screwed and completely defiled!

FoFanFeb : Two days in a life.

Hi I  know I do not often just talk to everyone,  yet it has been known. Maybe I am frightened  to be me in case I am not good enough  or just plain boring. But tonight here goes!

Yesterday I was out all day  shopping for my , as yet unborn grandchild. I went with a friend  luckily or I would of just bought one of everything I saw ! I was like a child in a sweet shop. Anyway after much thought  and lot of visits to lots of shops  we ended up in the shop  we started in  and bought  a “Baby grow bag” yup  it is  called a “baby grow bag” It is actually  a sort of sleeping bag  that does up at  the neck and the bottom! 2.5tog  would  you believe  then I bought a pair of navy trousers 6mths to 9months … honest, a navy  and white  knitted hoody , a navy and white hoody with a red lining, two bibs that match the grow bag and a first pair of shoes!

Shopping for the unborn newbie

Shopping for the unborn newbie

It does not look much  but it was bought with love and care , hopefully it will not be the last things I will buy. The funny thing is shopping has  never been something that I enjoy  but yesterday I really enjoyed myself.

Today has been a really strange day I am still way behind  with all your amazing posts  but I do promise I am wading through them and will read all of them!

This morning started  well but then while my hubby was out on his walk I hear a terrible commotion  in the garden. The Magpies were going berserk. I rushed downstairs  and into the kitchen looking out of the window I saw  that the sparrow hawk had a pigeon and was viciously attacking it.

I charged out into the garden shout at the hawk to “get ” but it was not afraid of me . I ran right up to it and  stamped  the ground. The darn  bird reared up at me and arched it’s wings over the pigeon.  I tried  for about 5mins  to save the pigeon. Then exhausted upset and crying I had to give up. At  some point the sparrow hawk left leaving behind a seriously wounded pigeon  on the lawn. ( the picture below is taken from the net to show you all what it looks like)

Hubby returned , he has a great love  of all animals  and really  he should  of been a Buddhist, honestly  he would not knowingly harm a fly. He was horror struck , we did not know what  to do for the best. Unfortunately the bird was not dead, I say  unfortunately  because  it must of been in great pain. “What shall I do” ask hubby well I told I knew what we should do but neither of us was capable of doing that.

We  ended up covering it with a box to protect it and help it rest and maybe recover. Then our middle son came round for a visit and we had coffee and I cooked him some breakfast, while I was doing that  the sparrow hawk returned  , swine, looking for it’s meal. Thank goodness  we had it protected under the box.

After much discussion and searching on Google ( by Hubby) it was decided  to box up the pigeon put the box in the old cat carrier  and take it to a bird rescue  center near us. ( it actually said ‘we are bird friendly’ I had to go to town to do a few things  so hubby went on his own .

When I got home from town I found hubby  and middle son deep in discussion .  The lady at  the rescue had  said  she would give the pigeon some painkiller ( thank goodness) and then take it to the vets.  It was all dependent on if the wounds would heel . Hubby gave them the cat carrier, they seemed delighted about that and he also gave them a donation.  He said there were lots of birds there including a large Raven  who had  been a hairs width from his ear at one point! So we can ring in a week or so to see if our guy survives. I like to think that as he survived a prolong attack, being under a box for a couple of hours , being handle  and then driven to the rescue  and he was still alive I think the little guy  will make it. I think he wants to live.

So it is fingers crossed that pigeon survives, and fingers crossed I have not bored  you all to death or sleep. Tomorrow is another day starting with Pilates and hopefully  sometime  to spend on wordpress.  Be well be happy  and be patient  with me.

Love willow xxxx

Music as Medicine. Sorry this is late.

I am going to start on a personal level. I was in hospital  for over a month four years ago and it was awful! I was frightened and even though all my boys, my  husband  and lots friends visited  me I was lonely. At that time  I had a page on LastFM  and all the messages of encouragement  and kind  inquiries after my health , helped me so much.

It was music that helped me  I could  not sit up and had to lie flat so reading  and watching TV  was difficult .  Lots  of music  and books on my ipod  . I truly believe that without the music I could not of got to where I am today . So to start here is one track that got me through, weeks in hospital  months and months of physio  and on going walking and gym. Thank you Imogen Heap you are a hero!

Imogen Heap

Next  is a silly  but truthful song  from the Film Mary Poppins, Spoon full of  sugar.  Music is always  a sugar  does and it always helps the medicine  taste better.

Julie Andrews from the film Mary Poppins.

Music as Medicine. Music in hospital , I would of been helped by this therapy.

Now Gregory Isaacs  with  the fabulous Night Nurse  such a relaxed  and in it’s own way happy song it just has to heal!

Gregory Isaacs

Healing music  to sooth the soul.

Out on a limb – Metaphorically speaking: My battle with Lyme’s Disease

In honour of a brave lady and a silent suffering.

FanFoFeb : Mae and Polar Bear. (The loss of faith)

Loud the noise of battle , bloody and debauched. The bodies of the dead stacked high

The smell of rotting flesh assaults  the throat, and burns the eye . The stinking smell raises to the sky.

The wounded lay in filthy piles, demons and maggots gnawing on their wounds

Their screams of fear and pain add to the  impending doom.

The Witch of  the East watched through the rain

Enjoying  the smell and screams of agonizing pain.

She was aroused by the smell of fear and hate

Summoning  one of her minions her desire to sate.

The Battle raged  below while she in carnal acts

Took such pleasure from a hound of hell, with his master she had a pact.

The noise they made could be hear below in the battle

Men shuddered at the sound, the demons were aroused and stampeded like cattle.

Mae and Ewen held  the line

Fight on fight on he pleaded all will be fine .

How  can that awful screaming scare us so?

It is a sound no human should ever have to know.

Mae was chilled to the bone, her soul felt almost frozen.

Her thoughts went to her beloved Polar Bear.

Where was he, she needed him. He had sworn he always would be there for her.

Tired so tired Mae could hardly raise her sword.

At first she did not feel the pain

Then it awoke in her as she was struck again and again.

Brave Mae  took the savage beating .

Then in went the blade as she fell her thoughts still fleeting .

Up in the castle  the demon and Witch both both reached  a climax

He exhausted, she her skin all torn blood flowing  in tracks.

Heaving and sweating with lust

She threw him off though he was in mid thrust.

The Witch felt Mae’s wounds and her pain.

Though in agony  she smiled  seeing now  her end game.

Dragging herself over the demon’s

quivering body,

The Witch crawled towards the window leaving a trail all bloody.

With an evil glint in her eye she saw Mae’s plight

She watch as Ewen  sped to her aid moving at full flight.

Her heart beat faster as Ewen took Mae’s bleeding body into his arms

Smiling  she crawled back to her demon lover to drink of him , she had no qualms.

Ewen bore Mae away to rest to heal to sleep

It hurt him so to see her wounds. Out loud  he did weep.

Mae found  Polar Bear in her dream, helped by an angel with raven hair.

He stretched out and  touched Mae , she felt safe now he was here with her.

FanFoFeb : Undying Love.

It is love  eternal, love undying

Millennia  after millennia of pain and crying.

So deep the scars of love were carved

A million years since his last breath and she is still scarred.

Oh! she bleeds

Dragging  around in widows’ weeds

The pain is constant it never stops

Her tears are huge  they sting like acid drops.

Yes  she knows she must survive

A force  not human keeps her alive.

Damn her heart it will not stop  beating beating

Like a lamb to the slaughter bleating bleating.

It was not to be like this

She was promised eternal bliss

The figure dark, one like her

He had warned her to have a care.

Suicide  was the only way

For the lovers to be together for forever and a day.

They made the pact by pale moonlight

He was to run them both through with her sword but he did not do it right.

She  had told him what to do

She told good and true

The sword must run from her to him

Her blood would make an immortal of  him.

Sadly by his  own mistake

It was his life  first that he did take.

Their blood too late was intermingled

As his soul escaped  the first pain of grief began to tingle .

Oh! she bleeds

Dragging  around in widows’ weeds

The pain is constant it never stops

Her tears are huge  they sting like acid drops.

This  poem  was inspired  by Bear, read her poem here  it is beautiful and so worth reading.

FanFoFeb: Teenage car crash!

Petal and Beer CansRose petals, a can of larger and broken glass tell a tale.

This should make you cry, I doubt it will fail.

If the car was speeding and the driver had a drink.

If young people died as a result, what would  you think.

A floral tinny tribute, can that be right.

I doubt grieving parents would of agreed that night.

Speeding cars and drunken teenagers do not mix

Don’t drive cars if you’ve had a fix.

They will be be dead  they will be gone

It those  left behind  that have to carry on.

Was it worth the last drink was it worth  the fun?

Will you ever  be able  to get over what  you’ve done.

Will your Mum be able to look at  you again

Without having to hide the pain.

Of  knowing  you have killed by what  you’ve done

Was that last drink worth it, was that race home really fun?

Did  you really need  to make that call

Eyes off the road do not work at all.

FanFoFeb: Explode

Barbed wire tight around  my heart

My raging  thoughts angrily tearing  me apart.

Why am I so angry why am I so pent up

I need to scream  and kick I am sick of all this truck!

I need to escape it hurts  this over load.

I wish I was a firework so I could explode .

Enough, Enough. Too tired I want no more

I can’t escape  my mind  has locked  the door!

One last chance ……….

The golden Dance

I shall explode…………….. Boom Boom Boom.

FanFoFeb: Wasp Pie Life.

Everything I touch goes bad and turns to poison.
This is not the path that I would of willingly chosen.
I say too much or I am too quiet
It’s my life, you want to try it?

Treading eggshells day after day
Bleeding feet with scars that won’t go away.
My heart torn out and pinned to my sleeve.
Painful thoughts my soul will deceive.

Life becomes  a rotting  corpse, nerves long stopped twitching.

Millions  of flies escaping out, buzzing around the kitchen

Everything sullied and spoiled no escape from this life of toil

Every attempt  at escape  viciously smashed down and foiled !

This life so bitter has a sting

Hands red red raw, reacting to a wedding ring!

The flour covered worktop such a mess

Takes all day to clear  up, smile and your  true feelings repress!
