FanFoFeb : The Lovers

The Lovers

The Lovers

Meet me at the station she said.

I will he replied, his mind in her bed.

Smothering a smile she shifted her legs

I need you honey, come he begs, begs.

Here feet tip tap along, in a hurry

He is off and out the office, scurry

Together in a lustful embrace

Hot breath in her ear, your place, place.

Difficult to walk when so aroused

Her nipples harden under her blouse

Rushing now they can’t wait, breathing

Touching, exciting , needing, needing.

Finally  behind the door once more

Clothes scattered hastily on the floor

Legs wide soon passions are sated

Time now back to their lives, hated, hated .

I saw  the Monotetra on Ramblings  from a Mum’s  page and wanted to have a try.

My  poem, The lovers ,  is inspired by the statue at St Pancras  Station London

Fingers  crossed I got it right!

The monotetra is a poetic form developed by Michael Walker.
Here are the basic rules:
Comprised of quatrains (four-line stanzas) in tetrameter (four metrical feet) for a total of 8 syllables per line.
Each quatrain consists of mono-rhymed lines (so each line in the first stanza has the same type of rhyme, as does each line in the second stanza, etc.)
The final line of each stanza repeats the same four syllables
This poem can be as short as one quatrain and as long as a poet wishes

JusJoJan: Altered Images

Mavis had such  long , dark and curly hair

When  she went out those  she met would  stop and stare.

Her  eyes were pools of  swirling deep emotions

Fathomless, holding  more secrets than any of the worlds’ oceans.

Her lips full and always  painted ruby red

Stark contrast to her pale  neck , where Vampires fed!

One close inspection  it was obvious to see

In and out those curls, the occasional flea.

The  come hither eyes just  meant  to suck you in

And on close inspection she has awfully  blotchy  skin.

Looking closer  her lips were far from perfection

The stench from her rotting teeth was not beyond detection.

First appearances are  not what they always seem

So don’t get sucked into her nightmare dream.

I am sure that you all know “All that glitters is not gold ”

And fingers should  be warm and tingly , not ice cold.

Self Harm : a Nonette.

Screams rise from my  tortured and empty  soul

Desire  dragging  me into a cavernous hole.

Demons ripping the clothes from my back

Grabbing,  thrashing blindingly  black.

Biting and scratching

Sucking  my blood

Heaving and retching

Tears flood

Mud.

JusJoJan : No hope slope.

Slowly,  silently an inch at a time

The darkness covers  me like slime

Hastily built walls afford no defense

Hope conspicuous by absence

Tendrils of dread grab

At your  sad soul

Swallows you whole

No hope

Slope

JusJoJan: Sisters, dogs, coffee and floods.

It did not stop raining today  and it would of been really  miserable  had it not been for the fact  that I was visiting my sister in law who is not my sister in law  any  more  for she is no longer married  to my husbands  brother! That  not  withstanding  I have been friends  with her girl and woman  for 47yrs. Yes I was thirteen  and she was fifteen, when we first met. Both of us sitting on the 97 bus not sure  whether or not  to talk, Then when we both got off at the same bus stop  and started walking in the same direction  we broke the ice.

We have been solid  since, I like to think we are more like sister even though the in law title is now  debunked. We have been through thick and thin  and weathered some nasty storms!

Talking of storms , today was wet! So  we stayed in the warm and drank coffee, had  parsnip  soup for dinner  and chatted about all sorts.  Our children, grandchildren …( my first grandchild as yet unborn, D already has one ) husbands, houses, my son’s new home, her daughters job, her granddaughters triumphs. Of course  we talked of the dogs the beautiful dogs.

The  dogs  have two beds in the kitchen dining room. They take up a lot of  room! One bed ( a huge  bed large enough  for them  both ) fills an alcove. The  only  trouble is  that  one dog , the younger one  always insists on laying on top of the older  dog. So D  hit on a brilliant  idea, get the husband  to put a  separator down the center of the bed ….. each dog  then could have his own space  and the extra  bed  could  be removed !

success

success

Well they  were not too sure  at first  but no one likes change  do they?

So  after a while they settled down and  after their  duvets and cushions  went in, all was looking cosy!

comfy and cosy

comfy and cosy

So  we thought , we turned  back to our photos  and our  coffee and  time ticked on. The  dogs  were happy, the dogs  were comfortable , the dogs seemed very quiet and settled ! Job  done, well done to D’s hubby the problem of the younger  dog  flattening  the older was  solved!

Well it  was wasn’t it…………………… er? not it was not!

IMG_20140129_152345685Nope, no it was not! It  just goes  to show  you just cannot  help those  who will not  be helped! You  also cannot  teach a cheeky dog  new tricks.

The  time came  for me to go home. It was dark t was wet  and it was actually  flooded! I have not had the pleasure of driving  through flooded roads before ! I did not like it  but I remembered  my husbands words of advice  and I got through  and after what seemed an age I got home safely.

So it was wet cold and windy in the real world today  but I was happy!

JusJoJan: What shall we do now?

I should write about  Mae and the predicament I have left her and fellow travelers in

Somehow tonight I cannot concentrate  the real life  intrudes

I hate  to leave them in the lurch  it feels quite  a sin

But the real life interferes, all it’s demands, selfishness and feuds.

JusJoJan  has nearly run it’s  course and by the grace of God I have survived

Maybe  by the skin of my teeth but survived I have indeed

I hope that everyone  has found something to enjoy and like me some pleasure’s been derived .

So here is tonight’s offering. It may  not be Shakespeare but it is just what I need.

Now  with only  three days left in January

What what will be next  for us all to do

A challenge really works  well for me

So could it be  Fancy words for February , FanWoFoFeb it works for me does it work for you ?

Please  don’t  worry  for  Little Mae  and Polar Bear

I shall be keeping you up to date  with all the victories and their plights

Making sure you can cringe with fear when the witch of  the East draws near!

We shall all be there to witness the end and hopefully see them banish all the evil leaving only rights!!

JusJoJan : Fallen Angels ( a nonet)

Hard they had fallen heavy from on high

Blooded and bruised tossed out  the sky

Afraid they clung ridged in fear

Silence, deafening all voices gone

Eyes wide wet of tear

Banished thrown ou Hard they had fallen heavy from on high

Blooded and bruised tossed out  the sky

Afraid they clung ridged in fear

Silence, deafening all voices gone

Eyes wide wet of tear

Banished thrown out from

Lusts just desert

Broken hurt

Lost.

JusJoJan : Mae and Polar Bear. 26/01/14

As the battle raged , uneven as it was Polar Bear slept in the East witch’s spell

He could not wake  from Morpheus’s hold, he had to watch as his loved ones go through hell .

From his eyes, tight shut, escaped tears of pain,  he reached out to slay the dragons, in vain

Like a puppy  caught in a dream his limbs twitched and flickered,he howled in his head again and again.

A passing angel heard his moans  and took pity on him.

She saw how exposed he was,  and realized the danger he was in.

On his back she lay to keep him warm, to try and ease his grief

Such pain she felt reading his thoughts knowing that she could afford him no relief.

Meanwhile Mae and the others  held their own against the demons and the dragons might

Many fell but they held the line and prayed for help to arrive, from the entreaties they had sent to allies to join their fight.

So from yellow dawn they fought till darkest night such  horrors they faced. There was nothing more that they could do.

So they  prayed  for help and in the meanwhile made sure their swords and arrows sped straight and true!

ONCE AGAIN WE LEAVE OUR HEROES IN THE LAP OF THE GODS,

AND POLAR BEAR IN THE ARMS OF AN ANGEL.

JusJoJan : Magic in my hand.

Here it is within  my grasp

Magic here for me to clasp.

See the future amid the smoke

Each blood red petal a spell unspoke.

Unleash your mind set your spirit free

Face the music  lead the dance

Kick up  your heels and run with me

The future is not yet, the past is gone now is your chance.

Petals red and smoke grey

Follow the trail

See the magic it will light your way

Do it now, for we cannot  fail.

JusJoJan is plodding on and so far I have managed to post everyday. Today if I even look at my mail let alone prepare a proper post a divorce would be the least outcome :(. So this little jot will have to do!
