Dance Deborah Dance.

For Deborah

Dance in the sunlight  dance  by the moon

Dance till you are dizzy. Spin till you swoon!

Dance up the hills and skip down the dales

Dance across the water  like a ship with full sails

Dance if you can and dance if you will

Dance in the restaurant  till the waiter brings the bill

Dance if  you can dance if you can’t

Dance Dance Dance Dance make it your chant!

Dance if  your  body lets you and when it will not

Dance in your  head it easy, easy so give it a shot.

Dance to your  health and to mine

Dance Dance forget the bad for a while and let the good shine!

It is cold  and fresh outside and the lawns  a white and crisp and even

The sands of time are running out for the old year. It’s packed and ready for the leavin’

Christmas has been and gone with all of it’s bluster  and show and  we have left behind the feast of Stephen.

Sadness is hangin’ round suspended in these nowhere days, the new years’s on it’s way so why the grievin’

We all move slowly, zombie like ,betwixt and between the old and the new.

Doing  as we are bid shop, shop  get to the sales . You need something to do.

The past is stretched out lazily idly playing  with your head. Push it off Shooo!

Approaching fast  from the future the come the new bringing hope and all that  will ensue.

Greedily   stocking up are energy and hope full of ideas and readiness to cope.

Come  now shake off the lethargy of  the old stretch yawn , don’t mope!

You can’t  stop this anyway we are all on the precipice about to fall down the slippery slope

So embrace the old, give him a hug at least you know him. Raise a glass in farewell he’s not a bad bloke!
