Musical Theme : “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun”

Stars like Dice

She picked the stars up like dice

and threw them once and threw twice.

Till they were scattered in the sky,

an amazing mix to beguile the eye.

Then colouring a deep indigo

she made a stunning backdrop for the stars to show.

There was such a stunning light

and she decided to call it night.

She spread her arms out far and wide

and defied any soul to reach the other side.

All day she played at this

and every now an then she would ignite a sun with just a kiss.

Galaxy after Galaxy she set out within  her being.

She was unsure if she was travelling to, or fleeing.

Then she had a mad idea, made a planet green and blue

and planted the seed for me and you.

Eventually she got bored and looked for some new employment

she made oceans and land and all of that was  for our enjoyment.

But as she was growing tired

and  so she made something less inspired.

From within her tired mind

she created mankind.

Death Of The Sun [Full]

Look at me sitting on the moon

watching stars as they past me, whizz and zoom.

I spent all day making more

you can count and keep a score.

I have attached by ribbons bright to my moon the most bright

so you can sit and view them tonight.

I have searched the the skies at night

for new stars out on their maiden flight.

I can see stories in this universe

so many things which cannot be reversed.

Rushing fast present, future past

the truths the lies the dye is cast.

Stars are golden, stars are bright

stars dance unendingly all through their life.

They see things we never dreamed of colours, vistas of dust

over millennia they have form a planets’ crust.

Stars are sparkly stars are light ….

if only we would  treat  them right

(A Sonnet to a dying Earth. Eight lines A,B. A,B A,B A,B )

It was hard to leave, hard to understand

Some tried hard to save our Earth

The others ignored the facts out of hand.

Where once was green and plenty all was now dust and dearth.

I was not alone there were others of us there

Set upon this lonely moon

Destined , now to travel who knows where.

Afraid and frightened I sat marooned

They told me the job was easy, the told me my days would be free

but the fact that it would take me eons to complete was the fact they kept from me.

They asked if I was serious, they inquired  if I was trustworthy, hard working and able to work alone.

They forgot to tell me my eyes would be completely boggled every morning when I got home.

They gave me a computer a pad and pen

and they threw in broadband but after that I did not hear from them again!

Their medical division offered me some dark glasses but I think that was a joke.

The scientific section got me a telescope. I was all excited with this job and so  full of hope.

They showed me my work station, it was in a field

they bought me in a ergonomic chair, across the grass it wheeled.

I was allowed two tea breaks and a 30 minute lunch

but definitely no coffee at my desk, and they threw in some coloured bands so I could keep my pens all in a bunch.

They gave me an umbrella in case there should be rain

and a little woolly hat just to protect my brain.

So now I was ready excited and inspired

I was determined to make them glad that it was me they had hired.

Now I hear your brain ticking I know what you want to know

what is it that my job is and why does it please me so.

I have to count the stars all of them up in the skies.

Which means I shall be busy every night with stars before my eyes!

ps And now they have me working and my contract has begun

They have moved  the blooming goal posts  and they want me to also map  the Sun??!!

Oh Wonderful Wonderful POETYRY!!! Maybe links to YT are a good idea? They do unclutter. Videos would be distracting from you beautiful words. Good idea.
Ooops. The link you used for Bear goes to Revolutions.

I had some troubles like that, including an entire blog post disappear and then have it say it was published 22 hours BEFORE I published it… and that got the order of the blogs all wrong, and an older faulty draft was finally substituted as a new post, and the missing one that said it was published, I trashed, and me too tired to worry with it anymore So I just stopped.

And I can’t spell POETRY. Sorry. I shall return for more music sans the YT advertisements. 🙂

Re the youtube adverts try loading Adblock it is really good and blocks all adverts and pop up on all pages!

Are there ads in the videos in the themes? There appear to be none from my view. But only if I get the url after any ads have finished or been dismissed. There are not ads on everything, but they do throw them in the middle of playlists.

I was wondering if the lack of ads was just for my eyes only, and readers are besieged ? I see more ads on some blogs videos than others. And more blocked embedding on some blogs than others.
