Mother earth , shook her head tiredly and wandered off into the devastation…………

As the last tree standing breathed it’s last and silently fell to earth

Mother  earth sighed and shook her head and wiped away a tear then wandered through the deforestation .

All was different long ago  when her charge was still new born and fresh from birth.

Before  man came and ravaged  her  she was fresh and new

All things  gentle , all things safe  earth green, sky and sea blue.

The fish are gone , the seas all poisoned by man’s insatiable greed

The land all barren  and sun scorched the hole in the ozone, ensured  the goodness gone

Every living creature dead no animals, birds, insects and  man from  suffering freed.

All had suffered dreadfully as the last years had past. Silence, not a sound not even a wind’s song.

Mother earth , shook her head tiredly and wandered off into the devastation…………

Something caught her eye a tiny leaf, was this hope for the future  for a new breed a lovely new creation.
