30 Days, 30 Posts: NaBloPoMo

30 Days, 30 Posts: NaBloPoMo is here! and I am diving in!

This is the month of November

When NaBloPoMo challenges us, remember?

I really love a challenge  to blog

So I can avoid  the winter’s Fog.

By curling up warm, to blog!

I really have to try,  my fingers want to fly

Writing   star studded words up in the sky.

Real words,  beautiful words  full of meaning

So you can see them I shall stretch them from the floor up to the ceiling.

So from now until November’s end

I have to produce thirty blogs my friend.

Could you help  me, would you help me pretty  please

For if you do, I believe with your encouragement I could do this with ease?

Oh, Willow! this is so exciting! I know you can do it! I am so glad I did a blog challenge last month. I’m working on my post about what I learned during those 31 days. I didn’t know about NaBloPoMo until yesterday, and it’s too soon for me to do another blog challenge right now, but I’ll join you on this one next year! 🙂 Go, Willow! I will be reading what you post! 🙂

I write because the words are in my head and they want to get out. I have not missed a day of posting in five years. I look forward to that five or fifteen minutes every day when that feeling needs to be examined, named, explained or just vented. Pick a few good blogs to read and you will find inspiration in every one of them. Develop a theme or be spontaneous. The first year, before I started reading others posts, I opened the dictionary to a different page every day and picked the first word that resonated, echoed, made the mind begin to whirl and spin and hence a post would hatch. For the past four years I have used a set format, Happiness Is, Life Is, Love Is, Kindness Is, and my next challenge is to repeat those four themes over the next four years, one day at a time. PS… when inspired and time permits I write two or three posts at a time and I use the scheduling feature on WordPress to post one a day. Think positive and be like the little engine that could.

Thank you so much for your kind words of wisdom and encouragement. I have been blogging now for two years and find it so empowering that I wish I had done so earlier. I was so interested to see how you approach your blog, isn’t funny how we all come to blogging in different ways. You have given me plenty of tips and lots to think on. Again thank you, have a great weekend. 🙂 xx
