The Sapphic verse is a verse made up of four line stanzas, the first three lines of 11 syllables each, the last of 5.

Buiness

Hurry and stress busy busy   business

Keyboards tapping , post its flapping mobiles ring

Office bike beats the trouble and strife pants down

Right now on the desk.

 

Early train she’s on it too perfume wafting

Electric blue coat next to you soft humming

Off at station rushing now macchiato

Want to drink it now.

 

Phones ring lifts ding deadlines come and go deals flow

Time ticks pens click, ham cheese and mayo to go

Nearly five coming back to life out of here

Tricky business here!
