It was hard to leave, hard to understand
Some tried hard to save our Earth
The others ignored the facts out of hand.
Where once was green and plenty all was now dust and dearth.
I was not alone there were others of us there
Set upon this lonely moon
Destined , now to travel who knows where.
Afraid and frightened I sat marooned

I enjoyed this powerful writing, Willow. I felt the sadness and loneliness it evoked.

People will never get tired of the issues which you take up since our lives depend on how we handle these issues and with what commitment. Powerful writing. I loved the post. Thanks for sharing with us.

I think this is an interesting direction to take, I did not expect this! I have just started reading your posts. I liked the vampire theme with the raven the first one, now this is futuristic and forlorn. I liked this one, too!

Thank you for reading , I have written a lot of poems about how we abuse mother earth and then every so often I throw in ones about what will happen to us if we totally destroy our earth , another one I did was “The last of days” in fact I have recorded it , in the sound cloud offering on the right of my page .
