Morgause,Morgana, Mordred.

AH! here hangs a complicated tale

So entwined are these three, to shock you this cannot fail.

First there is Morgause the first daughter of Vivienne.

High priestess of the old ways, troubles from her stems.

Her half sister Morgana is Arthur’s too, twists and turns

I tell you so complicated were these three.

If I tell you the tale will you believe me?

Enchantment and witchcraft  playing no small part

Arthur and Morgause  had a child, being related did not keep them apart.

Mordred was the boy’s name he would be a knight and serve Arthur well.

Arthur would not of  known him and Morgause would not tell.

Mordred would fall by Arthur’s hand  at Battle of Camlann

Yet not before Mordred  fatally slays Arthur, a fatal plan.

The sisters locked by blood and magic, shared mother but not father

Both wanted Arthur’s death so they could rule his lands forever.

Morgause also known as Morgan la Fay groomed the boy in magic

She knew Mordred’s  future, saw it all. She cared not his end  be was tragic.

Most evil of the two sisters Morgause  twisted Morgana’s mind.

Morgana, before she knew the truth was loving gentle and kind.

Yet Morgause  whispered harsh truths about Utha , her Mother and father.

This twisted her mind and broke her heart made her hate forever.

A dangerous diamond in Camelots heart, treacherous and scheming

Forever of Camelot ruling she was dreaming.

Father and son but does either of them know,

One given life then deals the other a fatal blow.

Sisters entwined in magic and hate

They scheme against their brother leaving nothing to fate.

AH! here hangs a complicated tale

So entwined are these three, to shock you this cannot fail.

I must confess to not having read your other three. What with Dad suffering a stroke, R being sectioned, being asked to write for a Hong Kong epilepsy charity, being ill and landing the voluntary position as an entertainment journalist I am sorely behind on blogs – even writing has been difficult to fit in recently!

I shall definitely go back and take a look though 🙂

Oh I love watching that series..LOL. This is fantastic! It truly does get confusing to someone who isn’t well acquainted with Arthur’s story. You’ve done a great job here! 😀

I watched the Merlin Series Willow, and of course they changed the Legend, but most of the characters were there, changed but still recognisable. A legend to beat all legends methinks. Full of spice, hate, love and magic.. Just what the Dr ordered, 🙂 hugs aplenty. xPenx

Incest w/wo enchanment (for an excuse?) was not so rare. Desire is rather like an enchantment. It is part of history, and the primal stories all over the world. Do you imagine music, or listen to actual music while you write?
