The odd couple. ( Huitain)

He was a fast moving sleek ,aerodynamic racer

She was a curvaceous , padded comfy pacer.

He sped along rash ignoring the rules

She took her time, those who disobey, in her eyes were fools

An unlikely match every one agreed

Yet sometimes  opposites attract , it’s true indeed.

They were too different, everyone said

Yet every day together they met in the bike shed.

This is a Huitain

I had not heard of these before until, I saw  them written on tjtherien’s  page . I do hope he does not mind me trying one out. Here is a link to one  he has written recently Huitain  http://tjtherien.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/wake-up-and-smell-the-coffee-huitain/

thank you very much Willow, but the form is old French, I don’t have any ownership of the form, nor does anyone…the only form I even claim to be an expert in is the Timber which of course I invented, but even that form is open for the world to play with…

I did not mean you had invented them I just meant you had introduced me to them. I love finding techniques of writing. I have seen your Timber as well and that is very interesting too! I do enjoy your blog. 😉

I ride road bikes – racers – and have encountered many bikers ignorant of traffic rules – all too soon, they are not even around, for their mistakes to rue.

    Peace,
    Eric

Yes for some reason cyclists think they are above the law and invincible especially courtiers, sadly as you say they are not. But this story ends on a happy note. 😉 xx
