The odd couple. ( Huitain)

He was a fast moving sleek ,aerodynamic racer

She was a curvaceous , padded comfy pacer.

He sped along rash ignoring the rules

She took her time, those who disobey, in her eyes were fools

An unlikely match every one agreed

Yet sometimes  opposites attract , it’s true indeed.

They were too different, everyone said

Yet every day together they met in the bike shed.

This is a Huitain

I had not heard of these before until, I saw  them written on tjtherien’s  page . I do hope he does not mind me trying one out. Here is a link to one  he has written recently Huitain  http://tjtherien.wordpress.com/2013/06/07/wake-up-and-smell-the-coffee-huitain/

Leaving Home.

A Haiku inspired by Eric Alagan   Home Beckons or Preparing to Leave . Me being me I put a slight twist on it.

**************************************************

Harsh words fly, closed ears repel screams
Neighbours  watch the unholy scene
Never darken my doorstep again, words cut
Doors slam wham, bam cut!
