Hopelessness

Where is she going and where has she been.

She is the most  hopeless soul you have ever seen

Why is she out there why so alone .

Does no one miss her, has she no loving home.

Where are her parents , her teachers and friends

Is this all that is left to her, is this hopelessness where she ends.

Out in all weather, aimless, sharing a bench with the old men in the park.

Scrounging for coffee and scraps of food at back doors of the restaurants after dark.

Her Mother’s boyfriend was too fond of her,her Mum to frightened or to busy to care

Her teachers uncaring didn’t notice the signs, her lost weigh and dull eyes, a sudden loss of all flair.

It all came to a head when her Mum found her with  HIM in bed.

Mum wouldn’t listen to a word that she said.

He had raped her, she had pleaded her case .

But her  Mum had screamed at her and then slapped her face

So now lost and lonely with no where to go

She wonders the big city her fears in full flow.

No one to love her no one to care she is homeless and helpless and underage.

Already she is changing , she has stolen for drink her life’s spiraling downward and her head’s full of rage.

Why had Mum not listened , why had Mum let him push her out

She lost and she is hopeless prey to demons and doubt………………….

Good morning, Willow 🙂 We’re online at the same time! It’s Monday morning to me – 7.04 am. I leave for work at 8.20. Sighhhhhhhhh.

This poem, Willow, I feel it awfully because I feel crazy mad angry when mothers who realise their partner is harming their child, when they stay with them or not believe their child.

This picture is amazing because she looks every bit of what you’ve written. Our youth… When they’re out on the street because of abuse in the home – the home they were a baby in, 1, 2 and toddler in – and then in comes a man and destroys, but the mother doesn’t stand by her child. I loathe, loathe that, and know it does happen.

    This is enormously sad, Willow.

It is so heart breaking to think that some women are so selfish, insecure or just plain stupidly dependent on these men that they would rather throw their children out that risk loosing their “man”. So many lost souls , boys as well as girls turfed out unto the streets to fend for themselves! I don’t know who I should feel the most sorry for. It is Sunday evening here 22.10 and I am off to bed soon , I hope you have a good day at work Noeleen. xxxxxx

‘Prey to demons and doubt.. ‘ … Sweet Willow, a heartbreaking tale, and alas one which is mirrored everywhere.. I hope for an Angel in disguise to appear and sort out her life… or at the very least , help her to her ‘feet’ and give her a new start.. That is the thought I shall hold onto, for I fear so many are lost through their terrible start in life.. Hugs aplenty xPenx

I’ve no doubt we’re surrounded by the bleeding LIFE of these souls; indeed we are those angels!

I tried to ‘Like’ but my computer’s playing up. As ever, such an evocative tale… I guess the best we can hope for is that this is not common – what we wish for is that it doesn’t happen at all.

Dark days indeed my great friend, unfortunately these happenings are common and many young women and men are out there walking and sleeping rough on the streets, prey to any kind of molesting, the dangers are real, and worst of all nobody seems to care 😦

    Nicely written Willowdot 🙂
