Silver Lining!

She ran, each step leaden. Toward the sunrise through the cloud.

Out of the town towards the morning her lungs aching as she screamed out loud.

Along the rails glowing silver in the pale light onward into the the coming train.

Away from all the chains that held her she runs to fight against the grain.

Strangely her dress hem trails heavily behind ย her, dragging slowly over the sleepers.

Holding her back as if through water she was treading ,ย suffocating like windows masked by creepers.

In the distance the train approaches sounding off it’s ghastly wail faster, faster it comes further.

At once the the silver dawn light breaks the darkness of the skies the train streaks on and devours her.

Along the the silver linings of the rails her deep red life blood flows on and on it goes.

In the sky the clouds are part to reveal a silver lining which beams down to where a blood red rose grows.

I love this Willow – fantastic. Leaden, I can indeed imagine her tread, and the dress holding her back. You really take an image & bring it to life.

Dang, I’ve missed you! I am so much hoping you are well. Seems ages since I was here, but I’m not sure. Feels ages though!

Hi Noeleen I am glad you liked this. She tried so hard to escape Stuggling and stumbling towards the light. The light that was no all the answers she longed for but the 5am express which killed her….. An escape of sorts I guess. You have no been here for a week, I must you too I enjoy our quiet cuppas and our sometimes loud laughs. Be well and happy and beware of the light in the distance. Hugs to you and Daniel xxxxxx
