NaPoWriMo Day 27 : Today’s prompt is to use the wondrous powers of the Internet to help you write, and I have a particular method in mind. Think of a common proverb or phrase — something like “All that glitters is not gold,” or “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.” Then plug the first three words of the phrase into a search engine. Skim through the first few pages of results, collecting (rather like a poetic magpie) words and phrases that interest you. Then use those words and phrases as the inspirations (and some of the source material) for a new poem.

A Cat May (Warning)
A cat may, that is what everyone says
Owning a cat may shorten your days
Insidious, unseen, malicious and quiet
Excreted escaping hoping to invade
Depressing the nerves with an unhappy parade
A cat may without any thoughts of harm
Can infest your blood and remove life’s charm.
In muscles and brain hides the nasty nasty little parasites
They will push you , and push you to take your life.
So a beautiful cat may look at a king
But everyone in the castle should be aware what he is hiding within.

Many hands make Fractals Tactile
Many Hands make Fractals Tactile.
That’s sounds so hopeful it makes you smile.
Many hands clear the deck especially in the sun
The more of us together makes us more inclined to fun.
Many hands all wearing rings with diamonds will catch the light
The more of us there are, the sooner the job gets done right.
The more hands lifted to the sky reaching far reaching high
So remember Many Hands make Fractals Tactile and your heart fly.

Oooh, the cat sat on the mat, doesn’t apply then, Sweet Willow, but the parasites sound particularly nasty, I always had fears what was hiding in mats and carpets when I had Bess and previously Tom, my male cat ( I know, a very imaginative name 😉 ) … but well done for completing the prompt, made me laugh out loud…… (and I am now scratching in earnest.. 😉 , ) xPenx

Yes our lovely friends are carrying lots of hidden passengers. I was really surprised at how nasty those parasites are. As for names Tom is lovely, over the years we have had Minky 1.2.& 3, Multi,Tinker and the dog was Rebbo….OH! so imaginative………. NOT!

Love them and especially the one on the cat – there is something mysterious about these furs balls. Many love them but I have my reservations.
Peace, Eric

I love cats but they are so very deep, alien almost. Unlike dogs who carry as many dangerous passengers but are open books who love you unconditionally! Dogs have owners cats have slaves!!
Apr 28, 2013 @ 09:03:26
Yeek, Willow, you’ve had me look at my sweet little kitty cat different!!
To be honest, I read a Twitter of 7 reasons why pets are bad for you – and there was a lot to go yik at, so I’m rethinking anyhow.
Love how you’re meeting these challenges. You’re great how you never run out of words!!!
Apr 28, 2013 @ 09:25:23
OH! I do, I do !! I have lost hair this month!!! I love cats but the facts are there!! Dogs are not much better but I love them too!
