NaPoWriMo, A Trio of Triolets

NaPoWriMo Day 23: Today’s  prompt is to write  a triolet, which is an eight-line poem. All the lines are in iambic tetramenter (for a total of eight syllables per line), and the first, fourth, and seventh lines are identical, as are the second and final lines.  So I have attempted three separate Triolets, one Coffee is a rearrangement of one I had written a while back . Stupid and Eggshells are both new…… here goes then.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stupid
Why am I  stupid  I want to know
Why do I make his danger signals glow
Whatever I try makes him angry   so …..
Why am I so stupid I want to know
Why is it I always set his danger signals aglow.
Why am I  stupid  I want to know
Why do I make his danger signals glow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Coffee

I do  love my cup of coffee

Especially when it’s hot and frothy

Not for me Vanilla or toffee for

I do love my cup of coffee

But it must be hot and frothy for

I do  love my cup of coffee

Especially when it’s hot and frothy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eggshells
I walk on eggshells all my life
Trying to be the perfect wife
Heading off all  trouble and strife
I walk on eggshells all my life
Shall I ever be the perfect wife
I walk on eggshells all my life
Trying to be the perfect wife
    I’ve often thought that walking on eggshells is so, so descriptive..Willow, . the pain of just crushing eggshells with my hand (just made a flan) makes me flinch, so if I actually walked on them.. shivers!! … Enjoyed the read my friend, .and I could actually smell the coffee…any left? 🙂 xxPenxx
