OIE!!

I am just popping this little ditty in here because today I felt to invisible. As I walked into town today I was pushed to the side by a woman with a pushchair, then a young man on his phone walked straight across my path forcing me to stop sharply. I am sick of people on bikes riding the pavements     ( side walks) nearly pushing me on to the road. I am not going to bore you with what happened in the supermarkets. I am not going to bore you any more but it just made we feel so invisible and worthless.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is something I have to say. People ignore me each and every day. Am I so insignificant that they don’t see me do I just get in the way?
I really think that it’s not fair that they treat me as if I were not there.I know I am past my prime not very tall and because I use a walking stick I need more time! So when you are rushing round the town with your pushchair or your shopping trolly look out for me don’t knock me down.
am I invisible ?
Strolling  round on your phone deep in conversation don’t ignore me and make me stop sharp for your lack of consideration. If you knock me over through lack of concentration .It is not so easy for me to get back up on my feet you see??
Riding your bikes on the pavement ( sidewalk) may save you time as up the down road you can go . Spare a though for folk  like me who can’t  move out your way quickly.
Trundling round blind corners in the supermarket  my feet and hips are not where you need to park it! Young people walking three abreat
I may have lost my shine and my magnetic attractions are no longer as keen. I am still me I am still a person I do my best and I deserve to be seen.
    O’ my Lord what a day you had!
    Guess they’ve got to realize the real you, so next time they’ll bend down once you approach…
    Have a peaceful time
    Next time, reach out to the guy on the phone, & hang on, using that hand for balance, and smack him sharply on the shin with your walking stick… I guarantee he’ll pay attention next time…. and all of a sudden, you’ll be visible!
    Gigoid is the best…just had a good chuckle as I read his comments…and the man can do some serious writing too.
    Well now that I’ve used your space to give props to another blogger…its your turn…great post…we’ve all had those days (weeks? months? lives?) when we felt like the butt end of the world…in addition to the wacking with your walking stick, I suggest you might start wearing some bright blue leotards, read underpants (over the leotards so they can be seen), a cape, and paste a big yellow S on your chest…I know it can be a bit awkward to get it all on…but it has always worked for me.
    Be encouraged!
    Just give them a tap on the head with your walking stick 😉
    Being ignored is the worst feeling in the world, I can empathize.
    Oh, I am in pain for your being ignored and treated as if you were not there. The only people who act like that in my area (mostly rural) are the workers at the driver’s license bureau! But I have been in such settings sometimes in the past (especially airports) and know how you feel. Willowdot: you are ALWAYS very special to us out here in Blogville!
