wash away the blame
It is a holiday today as it was back then, Pilots wife was nagging him to sort out and get rid of these three men.
Two of them were thieves and that was true but the third, he was a strange one who had done no bad from what Pilot knew.
But Pilots wife was worrying and the festival approached the crowd were outside baying shouting for him to pass a rule. Was it to be one of these “ner do goods” or this gentle man who rode into town on a mule.

Pilot asks the crowed
Pilots wife sent him a message not to hurt Jesus because he was an innocent man spare him I have dreamt of him he is good spare him if you can.
Still not wanting to make a judgement or up set the crowed he decided to offer them the choice. “Jesus Christ” the screamed out loud!
Shocked by their reaction but not happy with verdict they voiced he public washed his hands and absolved himself of their choice.

Oh, dear willowdot, how we all need to flee far from this hand-washing action of Pilate’s that we too often replicate in various ways in our daily lives. Shoulder-shrugging at new challenges dropped in our laps will NOT get the job done!
