Their ships have souls

My crew were all sleeping I was at the helm alone. My mind was out there wandering  showing me sight of Lars and our home. Now I do not want to encourage you fly without having your ship in your complete and full command . I could see our whole life together and I swear I felt Lars take my hand.

Space outside was silent, deep and menacing now my mind clear of all dreams I scanned for anything that I could find!

I woke the crew as Jupiter came into view they were old as I had said  but they knew just what they had to do. I had to brake radio silence to check my fleet was out here. I asked them simply to confirm they were all near.

I reminded them to keep silence but at once I knew it was to late . I heard the aliens speaking directly to me a sound I had already grown to hate. Their voices all  clamouring to be heard all at once, all at once I could not make out a single word.

Suddenly  beside me my ancestors did appear they told me I needed to clear my head and concentrate if, the aliens, I wanted to hear. So as much as I love to fly a ship, to be in total charge  I asked one of the guys to take the helm for me. I went back to my cabin.I was going to shut all things out to see what I can see!

Outside the fleet had joined us all ready for the push. The dark drew in around our fleet I could feel the evil it was tangible to me fear of the future and the enemy we were about to meet.

I feel the sisterhood of my ancestors fill my room. I know that they will guide me and I finally feel some light begin to glow in this fearful gloom.
