Always trying too hard to please her always doing his very best. He was such a good boy but his brother was liked the best.

As he grew he made her presents and did what ever she asked, but she never noticed  him and so the dye was cast.

She said he was not an easy child he was demanding, he didn’t like the dark and always wanted the light on, on the landing.

The boy grew he learned to make a cup tea and eke  out the chocolate biscuits: everyone got three.

Still she never noticed him. His elders were the favoured and preferred and when it really came to it she showed she’d never cared.

It broke his heart when he was tiny it broke his spirit as grew yet he never gave up on her, to her he was always true.

Yes he was the youngest but he always tried hard to be seen but he was always overlooked not heard and even less seen. Still he never gave up even as he grew he never stopped trying but she never acknowledged this, never gave him his due.

He grew , he married he had children she treated him the same but now she added his wife and children into her game.

He took her shopping, to the doctors, to the hospital, to the airport or just plain out to dinner he tried so hard but still he could not win her.

Eventually there came the day he really just had to let go if she had not cared for him by now it never would be so.

Always trying too hard to please her always doing his very best. He was such a good boy but his brother was liked the best.

Hi Rumpydog it is so sad when this happens. I can’t understand how a mother could do that. I try to love our lads all the same. Tell jen we love her xxxxx

I know this well and the one that is my twin fits this to a T..
sad, because he won’t believe in what love can be….
I have never understood how a parent can favor one child over the other….
once a Spirit is broke, it is a very long journey to put it back together…
    Sad…but a good post…
    Thank you for sharing Willow

    Take Care…

No I find it hard to cope with I came from a large family and we all felt loved and valued. It is so hard as you say once the damage is done to convince some one that they are loved and valued, he almost expects everyone to let him down! I hate to watch her as she hurts him still. But still he goes back for more. I pray none of our children feel like this and we try hard to love them all equally. I feel sorry too that your twin has this problem too it must make it hard for you . be well and happy. xxxx

Wonderfully written, Willow! I was sure I was following you, but realised I wasn’t or I had lost the link (I recently lost about 30 followers for some unknown reason, and they have to re-join).

Thanks for your input into the World Peace Poem :-). I can’t wait to pull it all together, I’m sure it will fabulous.

Thank you Angela it was a very painful one to write it is not about me..well the HE would of given that away . I am glad you are following it is my privilege ! As to the poem I think that is such a wonderful idea I am also really looking forward to seeing it. When I saw how much some people had written I felt lazy but my dear old departed dad always told me to to be clear and to the point! Here’s to a poem to Rock the World!

Willowdot, you have just given me a most wonderful gift: I am seeing this about my father, still mourning that he could never be the favorite son–and my father is approaching the age of 88! This explains so much–Wow, you just really cannot know how much you have helped me here today–and I will just bet countless other readers and people connected to your readers!
