This is the hill

This is the hill I have to climb

I read Zendictives  post this morning and it so inspired me . The words hit home and so I wrote this. Thank you again Art for inspiration. I wrote ” This Is The Hill”

Here is the link to Zendictives post.

This is the hill

This is the hill I have to climb this is the load I have been handed by the Divine. This is the path I have to take , whether or not I want to this is the way I have to make. I do not know the reason or the rhyme,  no doubt all will be revealed to me in good time.

“Make friends with your pain” they said to me, “include it in all you do  that is the way your life can be free”. I hardly believed them, but what do I know, and I need life to be liveable so I gave it a go. For a long while I fought things, I hardened my mind I got depressed and home bound and dare I admit, unkind!

I felt so sorry for my lot and sadly as I could not meet them most my friends me soon  forgot. Thankfully this did not last too long and I realized I needed to adapt  or I would be insane before long. Now the friends that were real I have encouraged again and the others are no loss and not worth the pain. I do all I can, all my physio and deep core exercises my walking and Pilates! I smile all I can and I laugh often and if I don’t look in the mirror my  bent back and shape can be forgotten.

Then I found wordpress hip and hooray and I have spewed out my venom and hurt and I am improving mentally each day. I have found lots of friends and some from other sites too and I am loving everyone’s’ talent and hoping I have some too!

This is the hill I have to climb this is the load I have been handed by the Divine. This is the path I have to take , whether or not I want to this is the way I have to make. I do not know the reason or the rhyme,  no doubt all will be revealed to me in good time.

Such an inspiring post! I think all of us need reminding occasionally that everybody has hills to climb and that we’re not the only ones with worries 🙂

Very cool!…especially the first couple of lines. Good, positive thoughts. I really like your style, it’s very unique: poetry in prose form but with a melodic jingle, like stories that rhyme!

Willow, thank you for your inspiring poem! I can relate to this – (the one thing I’ve learned most from pain is compassion). May you continue to spread your cheerful words and poems to all of us on WP – take care, and may you feel less pain each day! 🙂

Betty that is a lovely thing for you to say and I am so grateful, I have discovered here on wordpress everyone is here to write and enjoy reading others’ work and if we let the occasional truths through they are met with kindness and helpful words.Thank you again, I know we all have our own burdens to carry and the post I read on Zendictivs’ page made me think, stop and count my blessings. I thought about the ant and then it inspire the poem in my head. I hope this does not sound too twee but it was like the hand of God touched my shoulder. May be others can be inspired or helped ….good days bad days one at a time. I hope you have a fantastic and good day ahead of you. xx 😉

Inspiring my friend. Even though we can’t see the end of the path or the other side of the hill…we keep walking, we keep going.

Willowdot, I am ALWAYS flowing with inspiration after reading Art’s posts at zendictive. I feel EXACTLY as you do about how wordpressing has changed my world, has empowered me to climb that hill of social misfit (in my case). You guys are so accepting, so supportive! Thank you, thank you, and bless you always.; So pleased you have been helped so much by venting here and by your exercise regimens.

Thanks granbee, we are all social misfits and we all help each other. Art has been a beacon for me reminding me of childhood and my mum’s words of wisdom. Then the other day feeling at my self pitying lowest I read about the ant and I though I am that damn ant! If I can help just one person a day I am happy. I love your writing they always amaze too. Hugs to you ! xxx
