I thought I had moved on

I thought I had moved on

I thought all that hurt was finished I thought all that had gone. I thought you could no longer hurt me I thought I had moved on. I thought that your harsh words , raised voice and your shouts could no longer get to me. Sadly I was wrong.

I feel so lost and lonely I feel so hurt again, I feel so worthless, again I feel like dirt. No mater how hard I try no matter what I do there is just no way ever, I can do enough to please you.

I thought I had escaped it, never to feel again the way you  make me feel, just like a mixed up child of ten. You are the only one who does this to me just why do I let you. I really thought I had left all this behind what am I to do.

Much anguish here. Important to combine standing one’s ground with understanding.
