Big brown eyes that light the skies Soft and gentle always there, how many secrets do we share.
You kept me company day and night and you always made the bad things right.
You know all there is to know about me and that is why I love you so.
I grew up and you came too, you always helped out and made me smile when I was blue.
You watch over me night and day and so. I LOVE YOU TEDΒ is what I have to say.
I’d never throw you away, and you’re still with me to this day.

I’ll speak for Ted he says:
Hello, Willow
I watched and I saw
your pain and your joy
I listened and I kept
your secrets ‘neath my fur
I cuddled and we laughed
through night and the day.
I am here still to listen and watch
I come along to wherever you say
I sooth you and tickle you
’cause that’s what teddies
called Ted, like me do x

wonderful and this is a beautifully done poem. makes me remember of my childhood toys tucked away in storage at my home thousands of miles away. i really have the urge to book a ticket back to home straight to the store room to see if my dearest toy is still intact. i still have feelings for a blue toy dog i used to call “tidy” π

I knew that everyone would have a special friend I was lucky I had two a Teddy that had a bell inside him who I called Jingle bells and a rabbit dressed in an old sock of my dad’s ( my dad was a wizz with needle and thread ) named Ozzie. I still have then upstairs safe! These special toys remind of of the best and the worst of times in our lives but they are constant. Thank you for your lovely comment.

I don’t have a teddy; I have a giant stuffed Eeyore, who says to tell you that Teddy says:
“You’ve cuddled me for years at night
you’re the reason why my eyes shine so bright
though life may lance you with its oft painful dart,
I’m here for you – I’ll ne’er depart!”

“Can you write your name, Teddy? Look This is a T for Teddy. Do you know any more letters? Right, D like my daddy with an E at the end, TDE. That’s how you spell Teddy. Then draw a heart. You’re so smart, just like me. Mom says I’m her smartest boy. I bet my sisters can’t spell Teddy.”
