Starlight
Starlight, starlight what is it that you hide tonight. Is it a lovers triste you see, or a lovers fight. I watch your rays head towards the earth I watch them zoom around it’s girth. Oh! starlight you bless us all, those at death and all of those at birth.
The snow glistens in your light as if a million jewels it begs us leave our mark for slow and silent in the dark it’s flakes will fill and all will be renewals.
For miles your silver light strikes out in each direction left and right. A band around all life you sit above us and watch our strife. You see the poor man working hard to keep food on the table. You wander at his determination to carry on for as long as he is able.
The rich man too you see, he cannot hide from you. You see us all both rich and poor in everything we do.
Starlight, starlight what is it that you hide tonight. Is it a lovers triste you see, or a lovers fight. I watch your rays head towards the earth I watch them zoom around it’s girth. Oh! starlight you bless us all, those at death and all of those at birth.
