The snidy, sneaking skulkers

hiding in the dark

The snidy, sneaking skulkers are hiding in the dark. The are waiting out there for me, for to my regime I did not hark.

I was to busy kidding myself I was doing so well. So busy patting myself upon the back, their skunky stink to smell.

OH! how well you are doing , how hard you push yourself you have come such a long way , surely those painkillers could go back up on the shelf!

The snidy, sneaking skulkers are hiding in the dark. The are waiting out there for me for to my regime I did not hark.

My body hurts so much now, I keep being sick and I have fallen over twice now, where is my walking stick. The snidy, sneaky skulkers all begin to ball, ha ha look at her, pride cometh before a fall.

I shall have to take my pills now and pray for the best, I hope I can sleep tonight. God knows I need the rest. I thought that I could do this I really thought I could, I have only missed one dose that is not to say I should.  But the snidy, sneaking skulkers are hiding in the dark. The are waiting out there for me for to my regime I did not hark.

A clever little work with an ominous feel. Hinted with humor but underlying a deeper distress it seems. A creative and smart work, as always Willow! You make me feel like my writing is boring sometimes with your beautifully creative wording! Thank you for the inspiration!

Love that first line and the later repetition of it which functions as a framework. Great stuff.

By the way, how do you get the snow to fall in the background?
