Wednesday Poetry Challenge #6 November 30, 2011

For this challenge  I have been asked to  provide a link to a page or post that references a poem on someone’s blog with commentary of my own — I beg all my my friends on here to bare with me I am sorry I have not picked you as wonderful as you all are!!

So I have picked   All of Holly’s work is quirky and intelligently amusing with a realistic twist on life.

Clenched is about a woman who is so uptight and wound up about herself. She is terrified and lonely. Every thing about her is designed to hurt others, keep others away. Attack is the best defence. She trusts no one and because of this she alienates all the people she meets.

It is a truly amazing poem and I shall leave you to judge for yourself!!

This would be a great challenge to start with as not very time consuming. Thanks for your comment that these challenges are different from the usual challenges one sees. I have a very ordered approach to making these work in concert to achieve general improvement in writing by those that take them — wait until you see the later challenges!

Thanks for taking this challenge. (I clicked on Mr. Linky but it looks like you didn’t enter in your link to this page.)

Willow, I am truly flattered that you chose my page to focus on for this exercise. Thank you for thinking of me and your comments on my work. It is much appreciated, especially as (despite writing for years) I only began my blog a few months ago. xx
