Where is she.

canyou see the answer

Can you the answer see, can you please where is the person who used to be me. I have tried to find her and searched high and low, in and out but she is hidden somewhere I cannot see her though. She was bright and she was funny always had a song to sing a job to finish and a question to answer her smile bright and sunny.

No it is just no good she is gone ,disappeared like the last notes of her song. All here dresses fluffy and light gone in a poof , like those beautiful purple shoes she wore to dance all night.

No it seems she is no longer here, her bright broad smile has been replaced with a tear. I have looked for her , I have, I’ve really tried. I have looked in the mirror to see if she is there, beaming with pride…. she wasn’t, what I did see looked like someone who’s best friend had just died.

I just wish I knew where she had gone the fancy dresser , the happy woman you’d depend upon. I really feel lonely and lost you see so can you help me, help me please?

I think she’s there, just waiting in the background, for the right time to emerge.. I find myself thinking the same things Willow, this year has not been a good one, losing my companion Bess, (Welsh Border Collie ) of 13years was hard, as was a break up with someone who I felt was special but it didn’t work out. Strange how we expect to find ourselves the same, after so much change in our lives. (I’m shedding tears now for Bess, it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier!! ) xPenx

That says it all Pen you are still grieving for Bess. That just goes to show what meant more to you.My Labrador Rebbo died about 15yrs ago I still grieve for him and everyone of the cats we have had! Dogs love us so unconditionally and completely how can we not love them back. Cat and humans are very different they expect us to do the running for very little in return. You are so right , again Pen we do put too much pressure on ourselves . My “She” has gone she just had one setback too many but I think a new “she” is emerging since I have found poetry…. here is hoping. Thank you Pen for all your kind words. I am so sorry for your loss of Bess I do understand. God Bless now dry those eyes! have a cuppa and think about a happy day with Bess.

How often lately I share these sentiments. I have written several poems similar in nature. Some days I look like a stranger in the mirror

In the darkest of night where thoughts meet and dance a melancholy tune one can feel lost and alone, constantly searching for that happier appearance, desperately seeking out the inner self, and then as if by magic a light floods the room and the sweetness of sound echoes a resounding energy, fresh colours on the air fragranced by a new and invigorating new day brings the realities of life into a clearer understanding, and the once lost imagery of that happy and smiling reflection is once again restored…

A very nice piece of poetry my friend, yes with a little sadness etched within the lines but with an optimistic edge, and a breath of positivity all can be well again 🙂

Thank you , past joys and happy times do flood back but the same token so do the mean dark horrors. Yes , but all is not lost as long as hope is hanging on by it’s finger nails. The sun always comes up, some days brighter than others but we humans do have the capacity to cope and hope and smile. Again thank you for your kind words.

people change from time to time. reflecting upon myself i find i’m not the self several years back, i’m so changed. it does make me sad but i know change is for good. in every sadness there is a hope, a wish for something better. a ray of shining happiness if only we can open ourselves to it. if only we are ready to embrace the ray leaving aside the shackles of past grief. amazing poem.

It does get harder as you grow older but there is always hope. You have the right attitude you already see the change and embrace it. May most of your changes be for the better, I say most for we need the bad and unhappy memories to form us and make us who we are cling on to the ship hope she is a fine vessel.
