LEST WE FORGET

Holocaust Memorial Day

How could this happen, how could the world close it’s eyes for so long while it did. How could people say it never happened or that it was a lie.

Those of us who realise and believe that the holocaust did happen must not allow those who don’t believe or are in denial to be heard above us.

WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? Is that a list of camps in different countries?? Willow, firstly I didn’t know there was a holocaust memorial day, but two, I thought there was only Auschwitz, Treblinka (I think) and one starting with B – Birken…?

Is this truly a list of THAT MANY CAMPS out there in the world? My God, I am repulsed, repulsed.

It is absurd to claim ‘it never happened’. People like my grandmother (rip) whose husband was lost to Auschwitz as she fled with her two daughters (my mum being one) – they KNOW. You can’t say what people KNOW didn’t happen; the millions who KNOW didn’t have it happen. I could never have as guest in my homes such a person.

This is excellent, Willow. It seriously is the kind of post that should be freshly pressed. What is WRONG with wordpress, to not see that? This needs exposure.
Thanks for putting it out there.

A terribly tragic pat of human history… Sadly, the poison persists in insidious ways. May all forms of hatred, racism, discrimination and disdain for others be eradicated in all of our hearts.

I pray for all of the above, you are correct that the answer lies within our hearts. People do no want to change. That is why we need to keep it in schools and keep teaching children about it lest we forget.
